When a tree is removed, a stump is left behind and although the root system is very large, only the root flare is visable. This root flare is usually up to three feet in diameter - some times larger. In some cases, the stump is easily accessible and easy to grind, while iothers are in hard-to-reach places. I have an autonomous stump grinder that propels itself through your yard, and can fit between a 36 inch gate, so no matter where your stump is located, I can maneuver mostly anywhere on your property without damaging grass or gardens to get the job done. When grinding a stump, I go six to eight inches below grade as well as flatten high spots of soil. When grinding is complete, I remove all excess mulch and fine rake any debris that has scattered from the grinding process.
